The Armada ( Fire Over England ) is a British film of William K. Howard released in 1937 . Adapted from a novel by AEW Mason , this work brings together for the first time on the screen the couple Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh , who remained famous in the history of British cinema. Actor James Mason , who nevertheless plays a significant role in the plot of the film, is not credited to the credits.
The title refers to the Invincible Armada , in 1588 .
Synopsis
Under the reign of Elizabeth I , the British annihilate the Spanish fleet.
