Synopsis

In 1465, Quentin Durward, a Scottish archer, went to Peronne , at the court of Charles the Bold , to meet the Countess of Marcroy which Lord Crawford, his uncle, wants to propose in marriage. This one does not want this arranged marriage and flees the castle. Quentin Durward goes in search of her and finally arrives at the court of Louis XI , where she took refuge. He will find himself involved in the differences between the King and the Duke of Burgundy at the time …
